Kayla Cook
Founder Caring Excellence
I established Caring Excellence in 2013 after caring for my elderly parents. My sincere desire has always been to provide exceptional home care services to seniors in their own home or a facility. As a registered nurse with 40 years of healthcare experience I am available to help you navigate through this challenging season.
Our growth and stability is the result of our high quality, compassionate caregivers. Excellence and caring are the foundations of our company.
We have dedicated owners/directors at each location committed to providing exceptional care centered on your individualized needs. Our services provide you a safe, supportive environment allowing a quality, dignified and independent lifestyle.

Elisabeth Knight
Director of Clients and Families
She is knowledgeable in Geriatrics, Alzheimer Care, Disabilities, Family Dynamics and Child Development. As a Masters prepared social worker, she offers valuable support in areas of long term care insurance, community resources, services, and family caregiver stress.
Elisabeth performs regular client assessments and develops an individual plan of care to ensure each client reaches their full potential. Elisabeth is a natural advocate who truly cares about her clients.
Boaz Cook
Director of Business Development
Boaz Cook serves as Director of Business Development with Caring Excellence. He is known for building and implementing growth strategies and has been a catalyst for Caring Excellence’s consistent growth and employee excellence.
Boaz is dedicated to building a culture that produces exemplary client services and values each team member. He is based in Louisville and open to networking and collaboration opportunities.
Aaron Cook
Owner/Director, Lexington
Aaron was born and raised in Kentucky, and has a deep love for his home state.
He draws from twenty years of business experience to provide the highest quality care to his clients.
His background in psychology and collegiate level sports gives him understanding of people with emphasis on collaboration.
Aaron is committed to excellence and passionate about the clients and employees he serves.
He and his wife Emily are active in their church, missions and community volunteer work.
Sarah O'Malley
Owner/Director, Northern Kentucky
Sarah’s work experience centers around caring for people in non-profit organizations, hospital settings and even beginning her career as a caregiver herself. A Kentucky native, she understands the deep trust families place in those who care for their loved ones—and she believes that trust must be earned through compassion, consistency, and character.
At Caring Excellence, Sarah plays a hands-on role in selecting and preparing caregivers, seeking individuals who not only have the right skills but also the right heart. She is passionate about building a team defined by integrity, empathy, and a sincere desire to serve others well.
Marcus O'Malley
Owner/Director, Northern Kentucky
Marcus, a former product management leader turned co-owner of Caring Excellence, brings a unique blend of business acumen and heartfelt dedication to caregiving. His transition into the home care industry was deeply personal; witnessing the compassionate care his mother received inspired him to help families provide the same level of support to their own loved ones.
At Caring Excellence, Marcus is committed to building a team of high character caregivers. He believes that integrity, empathy, and dependability are just as important as skill. Marcus sets high standards and supports his team with the tools, training, and encouragement they need to grow every day.
