This week, our management team attended the 2025 KCARE Annual Meeting & Expo, the largest long-term care event in Kentucky, and we returned energized, educated, and inspired to better serve seniors across our communities.
Over three full days, we joined providers and leaders from across the state to explore the newest tools, research, and best practices shaping the future of aging services.
Some of the most impactful learning topics included:
Leadership Lessons for Healthcare Teams: A “Referee’s Guide to Leadership” session explored fair decision-making, communication skills, and team coordination.
Culture & Retention: Sessions on workforce morale and the “Six Gears of Grategy®” offered strategies to strengthen appreciation, reduce burnout, and support caregivers.
Dementia Care Innovation: We learned new, evidence-based approaches from the CARES® Dementia 5-Step Method to improve communication and reduce anxiety in individuals living with dementia.
Quality & Safety Improvements: Topics included emergency preparedness, infection prevention, medication management, and building stronger quality-assurance systems.
Senior Care Trends: From occupancy growth strategies to PDPM insights and national assisted living policy updates, we gained actionable tools to improve operations and client outcomes.
We also enjoyed connecting with more than 100 senior care vendors and professionals who share our commitment to excellence, safety, and dignity for every older adult.
